In 2015 the government introduced ‘Shared Parental Leave and Pay’, allowing both parents to share up to 50 weeks of leave and up to 37 weeks of pay.
Yet most companies still only give women the majority leave and pay.
Let’s stop defining how parents parent.
Giving equal parental leave will reduce discrimination against women of childbearing age, full-time dads and bring equality to the workplace and beyond.
But most of all let’s allow parents decide how they want to #ShareBaby.
